| This paper offers an anthropological perspective on routine practices of medical school education in
the States, using Melvin Konner's auto-ethnography as a primary source of reference. It attempts to examine the impact
of the highly specialized and standardized training system centered around the biomedical paradigm while envisioning
the significance of ethnographic insights for rethinking patient-doctor relationship in the context of the medicalization
of society. |
